I’M LIVING A “LUCID LIFE” WHERE THE BOUNDARIES BETWEEN DREAMS AND WAKING CREATIVITY BLUR.

My lucid dreaming journey began at age 8 or 9. At night I’d drop off imagining myself as a superhero and continue these adventures in my sleep, fully aware and in control. I thought this was common and everyone did it. It wasn’t until my late forties that I found out this wasn’t the case.

In my teens, inspired by Michael Moorcock’s fantasy novels, my lucid dreams evolved into rich, imaginary worlds. These vivid dreamscapes were the seeds of my writing.

From my late teens until recently, I channelled this dream-inspired creativity into music. I’d often wake with fully-formed melodies or I would solve compositions by instructing my subconscious to work on them while I slept.

Polyphrenia, my debut novel, is set in a world I’ve been dreaming about for over twenty years. It’s a prequel to ‘Aya’ both born from this creative process.

I currently reside in West Sussex, on the south coast of England, where you’ll find me at a café, on a beach or on my commute, transcribing last nights dreams on my reMarkable tablet.

Join me in this lucid life, where dreams, music, and stories intertwine, creating narratives that have quite literally been decades in the making.
