In today’s digital world, we’re expected to hand over our personal data without a second thought. I’m not a fan of that approach. Your privacy matters to me, and I want to be upfront about how I handle (or rather, don’t handle) your information.
Let’s start with what I don’t do, because it’s a lot (yes, I know I just said I don’t do a lot. My Mum would agree):
– I don’t use cookies on this website.
– I don’t track your browsing behaviour. (I turn off all analytics)
– I don’t collect any personal data beyond what you voluntarily provide (more on that below).
– I don’t share, sell, or trade any information about you with third parties.
The only piece of information I might ask for is your email address, and that’s only if you choose to join my waitlist. Here’s how that works:
1. You provide your email address to join the waitlist.
2. I store that email address securely.
3. I use it solely to notify you when I have a new story published.
That’s it. No newsletters, no marketing campaigns, no “special offers.” Just a simple heads-up when there’s a new story for you to enjoy, whether it’s a free download from my website or available via a book seller.
You’re in charge. If at any point you decide you don’t want to receive these notifications anymore, just let me know. I’ll remove your email address from my list, no questions asked.
While I collect minimal data, I take its security seriously. I use industry-standard measures to protect the email addresses entrusted to me against unauthorised access or disclosure.
If I ever need to change this policy, I’ll make it clear on this page and, if it’s a significant change, I’ll let you know via email.
If you have any questions about this policy or how I handle your data, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at the contact page.
Remember, your privacy is important. I’m doing my best to respect it, and I encourage you to be vigilant about your data across all your online interactions.
Happy reading!
