In 1852 Yorubaland, prior to the formation of Nigeria, young Femi’s life is forever altered when she’s abducted by the Okan, an ancient order of warriors. Torn from her family and thrust into a world of divine power and terrible responsibility, Femi must adapt or perish.
For four thousand years, the Okan have guarded Nkewa, a mystical breach between our world and that of the gods. They alone stand against the corrupted Kir’In, once-benevolent deities now twisted into monstrous abominations.
Armed with weapons forged from divine bark and blessed with unnaturally long lives, the Okan are all that stands between humanity and chaos.
